Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus is seeking a Director of Practice Operations to lead daily operations for the GMC Anesthesia department, overseeing staffing, budgets, and policy enforcement. This leadership role partners with physicians and staff to ensure efficient patient care and reliable service delivery.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Healthcare or Business Administration, with a Master's preferred, and a track record of ambulatory healthcare management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of health care experience, preferably in ambulatory care, with 5 years in supervision or management.
• A minimum of 10 years of health care management experience; ambulatory setting preferred; may substitute for education requirements in certain circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operational management including hiring, evaluating and annual performance reviews.
• Manage staff payroll and HR records; determine staffing levels and schedules; oversee budgets and overtime.
• Oversee patient services policies, patient complaints, and service improvements.
• Coordinate safety, HIPAA, risk management, regulatory compliance and code training.
• Serve as liaison between physicians, associates and organizational leaders; manage physician schedules.
• Collaborate with IT to support practice systems and vendor management.
