Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a full-time Anesthesia Float Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency & Specialty teams, providing anesthesia and patient care from admission to discharge. You will prepare patients, administer anesthetic protocols, monitor complex cases (ASA III-V), support recovery, and collaborate with clinicians to ensure safe, compassionate care.

2+ years experience and active CVT/RVT/LVT required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician.
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) Required.
  • Experience with anesthetic cases ASA III-V in a veterinary clinic setting.

  • Prepare patients for procedures and administer anesthetic protocols.
  • Monitor complex anesthesia cases and support recovery.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to ensure safe, compassionate care from admission through discharge.

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists is looking for a full-time Anesthesia Float Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency & Specialty teams as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Scottsdale, AZ.

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing exceptional anesthesia and patient care across our Emergency and Specialty teams. Your life-changing work will range from preparing patients for procedures and administering anesthetic protocols to monitoring complex cases and supporting recovery, while collaborating closely with clinicians to ensure safe, compassionate care from admission through discharge.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) Required
  • Superior/advanced technical skills
  • Has experience (in a veterinary clinic setting) with anesthetic cases ASA III-V
  • Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
  • Possesses a positive work attitude
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills
