Job summary

Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV, seeks an experienced anesthesia equipment technician to support the Anesthesia team during evening shifts in a full-time role. You will maintain, repair, and set up anesthesia equipment, manage cart supplies, and assist with patient and equipment transport for scheduled surgeries.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, minor repairs, inventory management of drugs and supplies, and preparation of charts. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with anesthesia equipment preferred.
• Ability to follow schedules, policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and set up all anesthesia equipment and clean small equipment such as laryngoscopes.
• Order supplies, noncontrolled drugs, and materials for the department; maintain drug par levels and stock drugs in anesthesia carts.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair on equipment.
• Assist anesthesia personnel with transporting equipment and patients.
• Prepare charts for scheduled surgeries and handle add-on schedules and changes.
• Daily cleaning of anesthesia machines and periodic deep cleaning; defrost drug refrigerator.
• Check in blood for all surgeries as required and participate in the department's Disaster Plan.
