Job summary

WVU Medicine in Weirton, WV is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesiology team in the operating room. Under direct supervision, you will set up instruments, monitor devices, and assist with induction and patient positioning.

Responsibilities include preparing trays, sterilizing instruments, maintaining supplies, entering charges, and attending training to stay compliant with policies. High school diploma and ASATT certification required; BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ASATT Cer.A.T.T or Cer.A.T. certification.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Sets up instruments and equipment for anesthesia procedures and maintains monitoring devices.
• Assembles treatment trays with IV solutions and instruments as needed.
• Assists during induction and intubation under supervision of anesthesia staff.
• Cleans, sterilizes instruments and ensures aseptic conditions for reuse.
• Maintains anesthesia equipment and supplies; reports shortages to the department.
• Enters charges and orders supplies via the computer system.
• Cleans and stocks anesthesia stands and carts in OR/OB areas.
