Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey is seeking a per diem anesthesia technician to support safe anesthesia delivery. The role focuses on maintaining equipment and supplies, and assisting during epidural care and scheduling with the Anesthesia team.

You will meet with vendors, arrange inservices for new products, and ensure aseptic technique and infection control standards are followed, contributing to patient safety and smooth operating room operations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• BLS certification required.
• Prior experience with hospital equipment and infection control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists Anesthesiologist with care of Epidural patients.

Summary

Maintains equipment and supplies as to facilitate the administration of safe anesthesia to patients. Assist anesthesia with care and scheduling of epidural patients.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintains anesthesia supplies and equipment in surgical areas, and demonstrates knowledge of this equipment and instrumentation.
• Assists Anesthesiologist with care of Epidural patients.
• Meets with Vendors and Schedules Inservices for new products to meet the needs of the Anesthesia Department and our Patients.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required

Prior experience and knowledge of hospital equipment, practices, aseptic technique and infection control standards preferred.

Required Education

HS Diploma.

Training/Certifications/Licensure

BLS.

Hourly Rate

$20.69 - $30.95 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
