Job summary

Perplexity is seeking an Android Growth Engineer to own the full mobile funnel for Android across Perplexity, Comet, and Computer. You will design, build, and ship growth surfaces, lead experiments, and collaborate with product, design, data science, and monetization teams.

You should have 3+ years of Android experience, strong Kotlin/Jetpack Compose skills, and a proven track record of shipping experiments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional mobile engineering experience shipping consumer apps on Android.
• Strong native skills: Kotlin/Jetpack Compose.
• Experience owning a full release cycle with tooling and store review.
• Familiarity with AB testing and experimentation platforms (Eppo, Statsig, Optimizely).
• Data-informed decision making and funnel analysis.
• Self-motivated with ownership and initiative.
• Genuine interest in AI products and rapid learning.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own growth surfaces across the mobile funnel - install, activation, onboarding, lifecycle, conversion, retention, and paid upgrade moments - on Android.
• Lead experiments end-to-end, from hypothesis and instrumentation through implementation, analysis, and rollout, shipping many in parallel.
• Own in-app purchase and paywall surfaces: billing integrations, subscription and credit purchase flows, entitlement correctness, and pricing/packaging experiments.
• Build push and lifecycle notification experiences that earn their opt-in and drive retention.
• Make cross-platform surfaces feel native; collaborate with web and design engineers for consistency across web, iOS, and Android.
• Partner with Growth to optimize app store performance and attribution.
