Job summary

Perplexity is seeking an Android growth engineer to own the full mobile funnel on Android across Perplexity, Comet, and Computer. You will design and ship growth surfaces, lead experiments end-to-end, and own in-app purchase experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional mobile engineering experience shipping consumer apps on Android.
• Strong native skills with Kotlin/Jetpack Compose; willingness to flex into other stack areas.
• Experience owning a full release cycle: tooling, staged rollouts, store review, crash monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own growth surfaces across the Android funnel: install, activation, onboarding, lifecycle, retention, and paid upgrade.
• Lead experiments end-to-end from hypothesis to rollout; implement flag-driven and server-driven test patterns.
• Own in-app purchase and paywall surfaces: billing integrations, subscription flows, pricing experiments.
• Build push and lifecycle notifications that earn user opt-in and drive retention.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, Monetization, Marketing, and Growth teams to translate signals into durable products.
• Hill-climb on key metrics like activation, retention, and paid conversion with trustworthy data.
