Job summary

Real REMAX Group is seeking an Ancillary Products Controller to lead accounting for Wallet and Mortgage businesses. You will supervise accounting managers and analysts, ensure month-end close accuracy, and maintain strong internal controls across all ancillary product lines.

You will partner with product and leadership teams to evaluate new products' accounting implications, drive reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and support audits and system projects in a fast-paced fintech-like

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification is required.
• Big 4 audit firm experience is required.
• 8-10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3+ years managing accounting staff.
• Experience overseeing accounting and reporting for multiple business lines or products.
• Experience in fintech/payments, mortgage, or other regulated financial services is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with product/business teams on new initiatives and evaluating their accounting implications.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and PowerPoint required.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close deliverables.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements across all ancillary product lines.
• Establish and maintain internal controls and segregation of duties across the ancillary products accounting function.
• Coordinate internal and external audit support and respond to inquiries.
• Oversee treasury, cash management, and liquidity monitoring for ancillary products.
• Monitor regulatory compliance across payments and mortgage activities.
• Serve as the primary finance business partner to Wallet and Mortgage leaders.
• Assess accounting implications of new products, features, and business models.
• Partner with Product, R&D, Legal, and Operations to ensure sound reporting from day one.
• Provide budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting; present insights to senior leadership.
• Translate complex activities into practical accounting guidance for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and reporting efficiencies across the function.
• Support system implementations and other special projects.
