Piedmont Healthcare Inc. is seeking a remote medical coder to review, analyze, and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS codes for outpatient records.
You will ensure documentation meets guidelines and cover ER, diagnostic, and procedural coding, with primary focus on Diagnostic/Clinical and Recurring patient types. Qualifications include a high school diploma and key coding certifications (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, and related credentials).

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Reviews, analyzes, and assigns codes based on appropriate coding guidelines and criteria for outpatient medical record documentation to include, but not limited to: medical, diagnostic and procedural information for the correct ICD-10-CM and /or CPT-4 HCPCS codes. Primary coding responsibility is Diagnostic/Clinical, Emergency Room, Recurring and Specimen patient types.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:One or more certifications required - RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H. Coding experience preferred. Coding Certificate program (AHIMA accredited) preferred. Experience in coding at a multi-facility organization and remote coding experience is a plus.
