Job summary

River Parishes Community College seeks a full-time, 9-month instructor to teach anatomy and/or physiology across four campus locations (Gonzales, Reserve, Plaquemine, St. Charles). Classes may be face-to-face, online, or evening sessions.

Faculty actively participate on campus committees, student advising, and recruitment. Minimum qualifications include an advanced degree in relevant fields; prior teaching and proficiency with Canvas LMS and classroom tech are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in anatomy and/or physiology or related fields as specified.
• Alternative qualifications include combinations of anatomy/physiology coursework and biology-related master’s degrees.
• Professional degree with required anatomy/physiology coursework is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person, online, and evening classes as needed.
• Adhere to schedule and office hours; maintain classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Assess program student learning outcomes and contribute to curriculum development.
• Advise and mentor students; participate in campus committees and college activities.
• Engage in professional development and required college trainings.
• Represent the college professionally in all interactions.
