Job summary

Fletcher Technical Community College in Schriever, LA is seeking an Anatomy & Physiology Instructor for a 9-month, unclassified faculty appointment. You will teach A&P using engaging methods, develop courses and curricula with departmental colleagues, and mentor students through tutoring, advising, and timely feedback.

The position requires an organized educator with strong instructional and communication skills and one of several specified degree paths.

Qualifications

• You’re an organized educator with strong instructional, communication, and computer skills—and a student-centered approach.
• MS or PhD in a life science field, or in science education with at least 18 graduate semester hours in science or biomedicine from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Professional degree in biomedical sciences (such as MSN, MD, DO, DC, DPT, DDS, or DVM), or another advanced clinical degree awarded by a nationally accredited institution.
• International equivalents are accepted for life science and biomedical professional degrees.

Position Expectations:

This position includes a 40-hour workweek encompassing instruction, preparation, office hours, student support, meetings, and college service. Faculty maintain accurate academic records, meet required deadlines, respond to student inquiries within established timelines, and follow college policies, accessibility requirements, and accreditation standards.
