Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to identify and evaluate proper specimen collection and storage.
• 1 year related laboratory experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accepts, processes, identifies and labels specimens according to protocol.
• Operates automated instrumentation and assists in upkeep.
• Collects, documents, and transports specimens within the lab; ensures specimen integrity.
• Prepares benches and work stations for daily workload; restocks supplies as needed.
• Performs phlebotomy draws and venipuncture per physician orders.
• Transports hazardous waste per regulations; monitors equipment and maintains records.
