Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Lab Assistant for the 12PM-8:30PM shift. The role supports specimen processing, labeling, and transport to ensure diagnostic integrity in a fast-paced clinical laboratory.

You will assist with phlebotomy training, handle specimens per protocol, and help maintain equipment and supplies while observing safety standards. Strong attention to detail and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to identify and evaluate proper specimen collection and storage
• Manual dexterity and accuracy under pressure
• English language skills (verbal and written)
• 1 year of related laboratory experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Label and identify specimens and requisition forms
• Operate automated instrumentation and assist in upkeep
• Transport specimens and maintain specimen integrity
• Prepare benches and work stations for daily workload
• Assist with specimen receipt and triage per protocol
