Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Lab Assistant for the 12PM-8:30PM shift. You will accept, process, identify and label specimens, ensuring integrity and proper storage according to protocol.

Under supervision, you will operate automated instrumentation, assist with specimen triage, packing lists, and routine administrative duties while upholding safety and quality standards across the lab. Weekend/holiday rotation may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year related laboratory experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills required.

Responsibilities

• Accept, process, identify and label specimens according to protocol.
• Maintain specimen integrity and proper storage.
• Operate automated instrumentation and assist with upkeep.
• Support specimen triage, packing lists and administrative duties.
• Restock and organize supplies and maintain equipment temperature charts.
• Ensure proper handling of infectious and hazardous waste per policy.
