The role emphasizes CLIA compliance, ROSE, and active collaboration with a multidisciplinary team across our labs, with opportunities for leadership and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board eligibility in pathology.
• Texas medical license or eligible for licensure.
• Expertise in surgical pathology, cytology and GI pathology.
• Strong written and verbal communication with physicians.

Responsibilities

• Sign-out surgical pathology and cytology with high-quality diagnoses.
• Consult with referring physicians on test orders and results.
• Provide diagnostic reports to treating physicians in timely fashion.
• Maintain turnaround time and peer-review metrics.
• Perform frozen sections on a rotating basis.
• ROSE on-site assessment of FNA samples as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment conferences.
• Adhere to HIPAA, CAP, CLIA, OSHA and safety rules.
