Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, TX is seeking a Histology Technician to prepare tissue sections for diagnostic evaluation. Responsibilities include embedding, microtomy, staining, cover slipping and case management of daily slides to support Pathologists.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year histology experience, attention to detail, and ability to work in a high-volume lab. HT (ASCP) certification preferred or eligible within one year; familiarity with special stains and LIS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year histology laboratory experience.
• Competency in embedding and microtomy.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment and maintain turnaround times.

Responsibilities

• Embed, section, stain, and cover slip tissue samples.
• Manage daily slides and support pathologists with diagnostic prep.
• Maintain lab workflow and quality standards.
• Assist with special stains and immunohistochemistry as directed.
