Job summary

The Phoenix VA Medical Center, part of the Veterans Health Administration, seeks an Anatomic and Clinical Staff Pathologist to provide diagnostic services within PALMS and to support potential subspecialty coverage as training allows.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from LCME-accredited or osteopathic schools.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States.
• English language proficiency required.
• Residency in an ACGME/AOA-accredited core specialty with board eligibility or certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic services in anatomic and clinical pathology, including surgical pathology, cytopathology and autopsy.
• Provide clinical laboratory consultation to laboratory staff and healthcare providers.
• Teach residents, medical students and other health professionals within the pathology department.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and multidisciplinary conferences.
