Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Denver, CO seeks a Systems Development Engineer II to build and operate scalable analytics solutions across AWS regions.

You will contribute to EMR, Athena, and Redshift while engaging with large, demanding customers and ensuring top-tier experiences. Successful candidates will have strong Linux and networking fundamentals, experience with large-scale systems, and a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Work cross functionally to foster a constructive dialogue and lead resolution of contentious issues.
• Love to code using Java or Python to build tools and solve complex system problems.
