Job summary

Workday is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Analytics Delivery Engineering team in Reston. You will design, build, and automate a scalable Kubernetes-based infrastructure across Prism Analytics and GovCloud deployments.

You will work on CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and secure environments, ensuring high availability and collaboration across multiple teams and time zones.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on infrastructure experience, on‑prem or cloud, with systems architecture, networking, and security.
• Bachelor's degree in a computer‑related field or equivalent work experience.
• Security clearance eligibility may be required for government-related work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement solutions for the Kubernetes platform, including automation and observability.
• Build and maintain core platform components ensuring availability, scalability, and security.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployments using Terraform and Argo CD.
• Provide troubleshooting support for platform‑related issues and collaborate with development teams.
• Implement security best practices and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation; share knowledge within the team.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across locations and time zones; stay current with tech trends.
