Job summary

SBA Communications is seeking an experienced Enterprise Analytics professional to lead operational reporting and BI initiatives. You will partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements, validate data, and drive improvements across reporting platforms including Power BI and Databricks.

You will manage senior stakeholders, ensure SOX controls, and guide a team of developers to deliver reliable, scalable reporting solutions. This role requires strong SQL skills and business acumen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Seven or more years of progressive experience in enterprise analytics, business intelligence, operational reporting, or a related discipline.
• Expert SQL proficiency, including complex queries, joins, window functions, stored procedures, views, and data validation.
• Demonstrated ability to improve reporting processes through discovery, redesign, and measurable improvements.
• Strong business acumen with end-to-end workflow understanding and data dependencies.
• Ability to lead cross-functional work without direct reporting authority.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit evidence as applied to reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement of operational reporting processes from discovery to retirement.
• Build and manage relationships with business functions to identify process and reporting opportunities.
• Collaborate with Analytics Product Manager to clarify problems and define requirements.
• Serve as Enterprise Analytics point of contact for reporting needs and data dependencies.
• Provide direction to developers on reporting deliverables and quality expectations.
• Review complex SQL logic, validate datasets, and troubleshoot performance.
• Coordinate issue resolution with Data Governance, DB teams, and Infrastructure.
• Establish and monitor operational reporting SLAs.
• Lead modernization and rationalization of the reporting portfolio.
• Coordinate UAT for major reporting changes with business validation.
