This role exemplifies the "manager-doer" and will achieve results through managing an analyst team, working with both internal and external cross functional partners, and as an analytical thought leader. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, strategic, and self-motivated with experience working with and analyzing the performance of operational businesses.

What You'll Do
  • Lead an analyst team responsible for transportation planning for our dropship supplier network
  • Relentlessly focus on Wayfair's Operations to help build and drive data strategy to align with business objectives, and growth projections.
  • Design and implement initiatives to improve speed, cost, and optimize capabilities within Wayfair's delivery network.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and build advanced reporting to generate actionable insights.

  • Build strong partnerships and collaboration with leaders and stakeholders to enable operational and tech enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities through a combination of data driven analysis and observations.
  • Contribute to the development of tools and processes that drive efficiencies for the team and simplify the day-to-day operations.
What You'll Need
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in reporting and analytics.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or GBQ, and data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio (Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI)
  • Familiarity with Python or R is preferred but not required
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative partnerships and influence senior stakeholders on strategic decisions based on data-driven recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between technical data and operational requirements to achieve shared business objectives.
  • Experience in taking a company forward in a fast-growth environment, providing insight for direction, and managing change effectively.
