Job summary

Hiscox USA is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer in a hybrid role across Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Hartford, or Manhattan. You will lead data engineering practices, translate business needs into data solutions, and drive innovation through labs and Learning Hub content.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in data management, solution architecture, and data governance; strong SQL, Python, and Power BI skills; and experience in Agile environments with a passion for continuous learning and data-driven

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
8+ years of progressive experience in data management, analytics, solution architecture, cloud platforms, data warehousing/lakehouse concepts, data modeling, and/or data engineering.
Demonstrated leadership in strategic data initiatives, innovation environments, and cross-functional project management.

Responsibilities

Guide access to and analysis of data for cross-functional teams.
Own and measure effective use of analytics and intelligence data by team members and stakeholders.
Establish and manage innovation labs to pilot new data products and methodologies.
Design and implement training plans for cross-skilling and up-skilling of data teams.
Coach and mentor senior and junior data professionals and engineering teammates.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
