Job summary

Activision is seeking an Analytics Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Santa Monica, CA. You will collaborate across Marketing, Analytics, Engineering, Product, and Player Insights to build data pipelines, analytics services, and AI-powered data products.

You will gain hands-on experience with testing, validation, monitoring, and data governance while learning engineering best practices in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in a technical field (CS/DS/Engineering/Math/Stats/IS).
• Coursework or internship experience with Python and SQL.
• Foundational understanding of data structures, algorithms, relational data, ETL/ELT and software engineering fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of how Agents, Skills, and agentic systems are deployed and maintained.
• Exposure to version control and collaborative development practices (Git).
• Ability to investigate problems independently and ask informed questions when guidance is needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to reliable, maintainable systems.
• Exposure to Databricks, Apache Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake or similar frameworks is a bonus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) including storage, compute and IAM/security concepts is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Help build data pipelines and analytics services.
• Contribute to AI-powered data products and data governance initiatives.
• Assist with testing, validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure data quality and security.
• Learn and apply engineering best practices for maintainable, scalable solutions.
