Job summary

Activision Blizzard invites applications for a summer User Research Data Analytics internship in Sherman Oaks, CA. Interns will work on real projects, turning telemetry and survey data into actionable insights with SQL, JavaScript visualizations, and dashboards, under mentorship.

The 12-week program runs mid-May to mid-June, with relocation support if needed and a living stipend to help with housing and costs. In-person internship with hosting managers and office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master’s or PhD program graduating Dec 2027 – Jun 2028
• 12-week internship starting mid-May or mid-June
• Based in the US or relocating to the US
• Learns quickly and applies new skills to problems
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Passion for video games and Activision titles is a plus

Responsibilities

• Turn play test telemetry and research data into actionable insights
• Query, join, validate, and summarize datasets using SQL across events and identifiers
• Build interactive visualizations and dashboards using JavaScript and Apache ECharts
• Translate research questions into defined analyses and communicate results clearly
• Support integration of telemetry with survey data and contribute to reports
• Learn from mentors in user research, game analytics, and data visualization
