Job summary

Activision Publishing Inc. is offering a 12-week summer internship in User Research Data Analytics, based in Sherman Oaks, CA. This in-person program includes a living stipend and relocation assistance, with participation beginning mid-May to mid-June.

You will partner with study leads and game teams to translate telemetry into insights, building visualizations using JavaScript and Apache ECharts, and delivering clear analyses to researchers and designers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master's or PhD degree program and graduating December 2027 - June 2028.
• Available to participate in a 12-week internship starting in mid-May or mid-June.
• Currently residing in the US or open to relocating oneself to the US.
• Exhibits learning agility; has the ability to think differently, and/or grasp and apply new skills and concepts.
• Approaches problems in a clear, well-organized, and solutions-oriented manner.
• Works well with others and contributes to team tasks.
• Able to effectively communicate problems, solutions, needs, or priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with User Research study leads and game development teams to turn play test telemetry and research data into actionable insights.
• Query, join, validate, and summarize play test datasets using SQL.
• Build and maintain clear, interactive visualizations and dashboards using JavaScript and Apache ECharts.
• Translate questions from designers and study leads into well-defined analyses and conduct ad-hoc investigations.
• Support integration of behavioral telemetry with survey and other research data and improve reusable queries, metrics, and visualization workflows.
