Job summary

Activision Publishing in Santa Monica invites talented graduate students to join the 2027 Summer Internship Program as a Game Economy Intern. You will apply economic theory and data analysis to enhance player experience in Call of Duty, with access to a wealth of game data and mentorship from hosting managers.

This 12-week, in-person internship starts mid-May or mid-June. You will work with SQL and Python/R to derive insights, communicate findings to product teams, and contribute to live game

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of applying quantitative methods (including econometrics, probability, and statistics) to find the truth and narrative in the data.
• Expertise in querying with SQL and performing analysis in Python/R.
• Strong critical thinking skills and understanding of gaming.
• Strong communication skills to relay the significance of your findings.
• Knowledge of data visualization techniques and standard processes.

Responsibilities

• Apply quantitative methods to analyze game data to improve player experience.
