Job summary

Counsel Health, a AI-enabled healthcare startup, is seeking an Analytics Engineer to own the semantic layer and build core data models that turn raw data into insight. You will be the trusted data expert shaping dashboards, data products, and strategic decisions.

You’ll lead dbt orchestration, implement reverse ETL, and enforce HIPAA-compliant data access while collaborating across teams. This hybrid role supports NYC and Boston offices and remote East Coast options.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and dbt tooling to model data
• Ability to design scalable data models for healthcare metrics
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
• Experience in regulated industries with data access controls (HIPAA)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data models defining core business metrics (clinical outcomes, revenue, utilization)
• Run dbt orchestration with CI/CD and data quality testing
• Stand up reverse ETL pipelines to production systems
• Implement and maintain PHI access controls to stay HIPAA-compliant
