New York Life is seeking a Senior Associate, Analytics Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable analytics solutions within the Enterprise Intelligence Platform. You will work with data engineers, data scientists, and ML engineers to deliver trusted datasets and pipelines across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of progressive experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Deep SQL expertise with complex joins, windows, CTEs, and large-scale transformations; Python proficiency.
• Hands-on dbt experience including modeling, testing, macros, and multi-environment deployment.
• Experience with cloud data platforms like Databricks and BigQuery; ELT, dimensional modeling, and analytics product design.
• Git-based development workflows, CI/CD, automated testing, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable dbt transformation pipelines and analytical data products across cloud data platforms.
• Own data products throughout their lifecycle from source alignment to deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Implement data quality, observability, and metadata management with automated testing and lineage documentation.
• Develop reusable dbt macros and semantic layer definitions to improve consistency and delivery efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data stewards, engineers, and data scientists to translate requirements and mentor peers.
