Job summary

Homeward is seeking an Analytics Engineer to build and scale the data foundation powering decision-making across the business. You will own core data pipelines, design scalable models in dbt, and collaborate with analysts, engineering, and business teams to ensure reliable, consumable data.

Ideal candidates have deep analytics engineering experience, strong SQL and data modeling skills, and familiarity with AWS and modern BI tools.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in analytics engineering or data-focused roles.
• Advanced SQL and dimensional data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and production data models.
• Experience with AWS or comparable cloud data environments.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Looker/Tableau/Hex.
• Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own the health and reliability of data pipelines, preventing ingestion failures and downstream disruptions.
• Design, develop, test, and optimize scalable dimensional data models and data marts using dbt.
• Architect data environment for AI-readiness with governance and accessibility in mind.
• Partner with Product and Technology teams to understand data dependencies and minimize disruption.
• Develop domain expertise across Homeward's data models, metrics, and workflows.
