Job summary

Chewy is seeking an Analytics Engineer to design, develop, and maintain dashboards, data products, and analytical workflows supporting financial reporting, planning, and operations.

You will collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and other functions to translate complex questions into scalable, reliable reporting using Tableau, Sigma, SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms. Strong ownership and communication are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence engineering, analytics engineering, report development, or a related data discipline.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex transformations and experience with columnar or cloud-based data warehouses.
• Hands-on experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions in Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Working knowledge of Python and experience supporting data pipelines, APIs, automation scripts, or analytical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, development, testing, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and analytical content that support Finance and Accounting decisions.
• Partner with business and technical teams to gather requirements, define metrics, and translate user needs into scalable BI solutions.
• Design and maintain semantic views for trusted business context and governed data.
• Develop self-service reporting and visualizations in Tableau, Sigma, or similar tools.
• Build and support SQL transformations, data models, pipelines, and API-driven integrations.
