Job summary

FiscalNote is seeking an Analytics Engineer to design scalable data models and analytics capabilities that empower decision making across finance, product, sales, and customer success. You will work with product and operations to transform operational data into trusted reporting and insights.

The role requires 4+ years in analytics engineering, strong SQL skills, and hands-on dbt experience. Familiarity with Snowflake and Metabase/Looker/Tableau is preferred; Python familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in analytics engineering or related technical role.
• Advanced data modeling and modular design principles.
• Strong SQL proficiency with complex joins, window functions, and CTEs.
• Production experience with at least one dbt project.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase/Looker/Tableau.
• Familiarity with Snowflake and SnowSQL is preferred.
• Python proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt models for analytics and dataops across departments.
• Harden analytics models with tests, freshness checks, and constraints.
• Create reports and dashboards in Metabase or similar tools.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to extract deep insights and answer key business questions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design analytics solutions for different domains.
