Job summary

Lindblad Expeditions, a New York-based travel company, seeks an Analytics Engineer who thrives in a multi-role analytics environment. You will design data models, transform data with dbt, and help shape a governance framework while partnering with a business analyst and data engineer.

You will publish Power BI reports, define metric definitions, and collaborate across departments to deliver scalable self-service analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, IS, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in analytics or data roles.
• Proven analytics engineer experience or similar role.
• Experience with Snowflake or modern data warehouses.
• Strong SQL and data querying skills; Python desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt models across staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
• Write SQL transformations to create analytics-ready datasets.
• Implement dbt tests, model documentation, and source freshness checks.
• Design and publish Power BI reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Define and govern metric definitions for consistent reporting.
• Collaborate with business analyst to translate reporting needs.
• Contribute to data governance practices and data lineage.
• Maintain CI/CD workflows for dbt deployments.
