Lindblad Expeditions, LLC. is seeking an Analytics Engineer to own data modeling, transformation, and governance across our analytics stack.

You will build and maintain dbt models, write SQL/Python transformations, and design Power BI dashboards for cross-functional stakeholders. You will partner with the business analyst and data engineer to define metrics, ensure data quality, and iterate on AI-assisted analyses while contributing to CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in analytics or data related roles.
• Proven experience as analytics engineer or similar role.
• Experience with modern data warehouses; Snowflake preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL; Python desirable.
• Comfortable with Power BI or similar dashboarding tool.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Data modeling and transformation across staging, intermediate, and mart layers with a governed semantic layer.
• Write and review SQL transformations to produce analytics-ready datasets.
• Implement dbt tests, documentation, and source freshness checks to ensure data quality.
• Collaborate with data engineering on pipeline design and data contracts.
• Design and publish Power BI reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Define and govern metric definitions for consistent reporting.
• Partner with business analyst to translate needs into scalable solutions.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate legacy reports and improve self-service analytics.
• Collaborate to improve AI tool outputs through rigorous review and iteration of AI-generated code and analyses.
• Contribute to data governance, access reviews, data lineage, and documentation.
• Bridge between data infrastructure and business; communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD workflows for dbt deployments.
