Analytics Engineer: Build Scalable Data Products

Job summary

Harnham is partnering with a global travel management organization to build and scale its next-generation analytics platform. The Analytics Engineer will work across data engineering, analytics, and product to turn complex data into trusted analytics products used internally and by customers worldwide.

You’ll be building analytical data models, transforming raw data into clean datasets, and developing semantic models across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills and experience with large, complex datasets.
• Hands-on experience with dbt, including building, testing, documenting, and maintaining transformation models.
• Experience building analytical and semantic data models.
• Understanding of the full data lifecycle, from pipelines and warehousing to reporting and analytics.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Azure Data Lake).
• Experience with BI platforms (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or R for analytics engineering.
• Knowledge of data quality, query performance, testing, and optimization.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain analytical data models that support reporting, dashboards, and customer facing data products.
• Transform raw data into clean, reliable, and reusable datasets.
• Develop semantic models and consistent business metrics across the organization.
• Build dashboards, visualizations, and embedded analytics experiences.
• Partner with business, product, IT, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and usability of analytics products.
• Support data quality, governance, documentation, and compliance.
• Help establish best practices around testing, version control, and analytics engineering workflows.
