Job summary

Advocate Health, Wake Forest University Health Sciences - Academic Office of Informatics, is seeking an Analytics Engineer to drive the CAPTURE initiative to enable faculty, staff, and leadership to monitor and improve performance across the School and clinical enterprise.

In a modern data stack, you will build analytics-ready data products that support reporting, decision-making, and advanced analytics, combining SQL, dbt, and governance to deliver scalable, quality data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and four years' experience in computer programming or operations research.
• Equivalents in education/experience acceptable for the role.
• Experience with installation and maintenance of personal computers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain analytics-ready datasets using dbt and SQL.
• Design dimensional models and semantic data structures to support downstream analysts.
• Implement data quality testing, documentation, and governance standards.
• Explore and model data across enterprise systems intersecting academic, clinical, financial, research, and operational domains.
• Partner with stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Contribute to analytics engineering standards and data platform improvements.
