Job summary

Wake Forest University Pre-College Programs seeks an experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to design and implement data pipelines and analytics products across campus systems. You will collaborate directly with stakeholders to understand questions, model data, and deliver end-to-end solutions.

The role involves AWS lakehouse architecture, Fabric, and AI-assisted tooling, with hybrid work and campus interaction.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of hands-on experience building a data warehouse, data pipeline, or analytics solutions.
• Strong SQL: write, debug, and optimize complex queries.
• Proficient in Python or able to get there quickly.
• Experience with a cloud data platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience building reports/dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, Looker or similar.
• Excellent communication to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-starter who can handle ambiguous problems and learn new tools.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand questions and define solutions.
• Design and develop data pipelines, models, and analytic products across source systems (Workday, SIS, Finance, HCM).
• Write efficient SQL and build data layers in AWS Lake Formation/Athena and Microsoft Fabric; deliver reporting via BI tools.
• Guide the modernization of integration work toward Python/spec-driven development with AI-assisted tooling.
