Job summary

Takasago International Corporation U S A is seeking a Technician, Quality Control for the 3rd shift in Teterboro, NJ. You will perform daily analytical testing of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods using GC and HPLC, among other methods, and ensure conformance to established quality standards.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in a QC environment, an associate degree in a related science, strong attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a quality control environment in flavor, food, fragrance, chemical, or related manufacturing.
• Experience conducting sensory evaluations of raw materials and finished products is preferred.
• Ability to approve or reject raw materials and compounds based on GC/analytical data, sensory results, and product specs.
• Proficiency with computers and standard business software.
• Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment, good laboratory practices, and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily analytical testing and evaluation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods using a range of laboratory methods including GC, HPLC, spectrophotometry, titration, and other techniques.
• Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Evaluate test results and determine conformance with established quality standards and procedures.
• Maintain inventory management processes, including production-related movements and documentation.
