Abbott in Sturgis, MI is seeking an Assistant Chemist I to test raw ingredients, in-process and finished product per quality procedures and ensure specifications are met. You will work within manufacturing schedules and safety guidelines, uphold GMP/Lab practices, and collaborate with chemists from other departments.

This role supports compliance with FDA/OSHA and Abbott policies while contributing to a team dedicated to nutrition products.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a science-related field preferred; relevant coursework in lab studies and math.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment accepted.

Mansioni

• Test raw ingredients, in-process, and finished product per quality procedures.
• Maintain GMP and good laboratory practices.
• Provide timely feedback to chemists and supervisors on status of responsibilities.
• Identify and report method deviations or out-of-spec conditions and assist in investigations.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
