Job summary

Anton Paar USA, Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer Analytical Instrumentation to be based at the Central Regional Headquarters in Vernon Hills, IL. You will provide sales support, conduct feasibility studies, and resolve customer questions on density, viscosity, refractometry, and volatility for the Central region.

The role reports to the Sales Director. The base salary range is $72,600/year to $82,200/year and bonus opportunities, competitive benefits, and 401(k) with profit sharing are

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working in the analytical instrumentation industry or in a laboratory environment.
• Exceptional communicationskills (written, oral, and presentation) for interactions with clients ranging from Quality Control Technicians to University Professors and CEOs.
• Ability to work independently and with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science.
• Valid driver's license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies (sample measurements).
• Installations, training, and technical support.
• Interpreting data and troubleshooting issues.
• Participating in conferences and trade shows.
• Travel (up to 50%, including overnight) e.g. for trainings, demonstrations, and installations.
