Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking an Analytical Chemist for the Pueblo, CO site. You will perform chemical and material testing per MILSPEC, generate Certificates of Analysis, and support method development for rocket motor manufacturing.

The role reports to the Chemical Lab Manager and is onsite in Pueblo, CO. The position emphasizes quality documentation, instrument operation (ICP‑OES, bomb calorimeter, gravimetric analysis), and collaboration with government scientists to ensure compliance and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field with 3–4 years in analytical laboratory environment
• Master's degree in Chemistry or related field with 1–2 years of experience
• Experience with analytical instrumentation including ICP-OES, load frame, bomb calorimeter, gravimetric analysis
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks, experiments, and data
• Good verbal and written communication and ability to work in a collaborative team
• Experience safety reviews for chemical testing and handling oxidizers or hazardous materials
• Experience writing and maintaining SOPs, test worksheets, and batch records
• Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for sample tracking and data management

Responsibilities

• Execute chemical and physical tests per MILSPEC standards; generate CoAs for final acceptance testing
• Assist development/implementation of new production processes, sampling methods, and test procedures
• Perform mechanical property, thermal stability, and material analyses to support rocket motor manufacturing
• Assist with selection of equipment to expand lab capabilities
• Manage sample chain of custody and traceability from inspection to disposition
• Record, document, and analyze data; prepare technical reports, CoAs, and presentations
• Develop and maintain laboratory SOPs, worksheets, and batch records
• Coordinate with government scientists; assist in calibration and maintenance of lab equipment
