Job summary

Voyager Technologies seeks an Analytical Chemist for chemical and rocket motor manufacturing, overseeing quality control and testing of raw materials, in-process oxidizers, and final composites per MILSPEC standards. You will establish new analytical capabilities and drive method development.

Reporting to the Chemical Lab Manager, this onsite role in Pueblo, CO involves developing SOPs, CoAs, and batch records, and coordinating with government scientists to update MILSPEC procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemistry with related lab experience
• Experience with MILSPEC standards and chemical testing
• Experience with SOPs, test worksheets, and batch records
• Experience with LIMS for data management
• Eligible to obtain explosives licenses and pass background checks
• Experience handling oxidizers or hazardous materials
• Strong documentation and data analysis skills

Responsibilities

• Execute MILSPEC tests on raw materials, in-process oxidizers, and final materials; generate CoAs
• Develop and implement new production processes, sampling methods, and test procedures
• Perform mechanical, thermal, material analyses to support rocket motor manufacturing
• Assist with equipment selection to expand lab capabilities
• Manage sample custody and traceability from intake to disposition
• Document data, prepare reports, CoAs, and presentations
• Develop and maintain SOPs, worksheets, and batch records
• Collaborate with government scientists to update MILSPEC procedures and calibrate equipment
