Job summary

Philip Morris International U.S. in Owensboro, KY is seeking a Chemical Analyst to perform analytical testing and ensure data integrity across multiple methods.

You'll operate GC, UHPLC, and ion chromatography, prepare samples per SOPs, review results in LIMS, and support QA, R&D, and Leaf Operations while maintaining safety and meticulous documentation. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field and at least one year of lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related scientific field.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Laboratory Technician or in a comparable lab role.
• Knowledge of chemical lab safety practices and analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of microbiological procedures and lab equipment.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise reports.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform GC, UHPLC, and ion chromatography analyses.
• Prepare and extract samples per SOPs.
• Conduct routine and non-routine microbiological testing.
• Review, interpret, and report results using LIMS.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for projects and testing activities.
• Support Production, QA, R&D, and Leaf Operations.
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for validated methods and ISO 17025 requirements.
