Job Type: Full-time Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM

One of the nation’s largest independent testing facilities seeks an Analytical Chemist with a minimum of 3 years experience in a GMP laboratory environment.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

To perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and meet the educational and experience requirements.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Understand Standard Operating Procedures, test protocols, and methods.
• Perform wet chemistry methods on raw materials and finished products.
• Operate HPLC/UPLC, ICP/MS, GC, UV, FTIR as per methodologies.
• Prepare standards and samples for analysis.
• Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental tests on APIs, raw materials, and finished products.
• Document work clearly and accurately.
• Perform technical writing and peer review as needed.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field (preferred).
• At least 3 years of product testing experience in a GMP laboratory for pharmaceuticals and OTC products.
• Experience with USP wet chemistry and physical testing.
• HPLC/UPLC experience required.
• ICP/MS, GC experience a plus.
• Experience with data acquisition software (Totalchrome, Empower) a plus.
• ISO 17025 experience a plus.

Communication Skills

• Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent scientific and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn new techniques, multitask, follow instructions, and adhere to SOPs.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Legal authorization to work in the US without restrictions.

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, sit, stand, handle objects, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, smell, and lift up to 40 pounds. Extended standing and specific visual tasks are required.
