Job summary

You will work under the guidance of the Senior Analytical Chemist, qualify and implement new methods, and train staff on equipment and procedures, ensuring high-quality, timely results.

Qualifications

• Two- or four-year STEM degree or HS with 3–7 years of analytical lab experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound decision making with ability to act independently yet seek supervisory input when needed.
• Able to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Basic understanding of ASTM standards and ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Proficient in Excel and LIMS functionality for daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments (ICP-OES, ICP-MS, AAS).
• Assist senior chemist to qualify, develop, validate, and improve methods and equipment.
• Provide technical support on equipment, test methods and practices; assist with method development.
• Participate in qualification of new instruments and implementation of new methods.
• Write or review SOPs and work instructions; train lab personnel on equipment and systems.
• Ensure data accuracy and manage documentation in LIMS and related systems.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and uphold ISO 17025 quality requirements.
