Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA, Battleground Site in LaPorte, TX, seeks an Analytical Chemist to apply ICP-OES and related techniques to support polymer development, process investigations, and customer complaints.

You will work with the spectroscopy lab and collaborate with technicians and peers, ensuring safe, accurate results and timely reporting. A BS in Chemistry or Materials Science and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as an analytical chemist.
• Experience with ICP-OES, chromatography, wet chemistry and other spectroscopy methods.

Responsibilities

• Support Analytical team for Battleground site, PE and PP manufacturing.
• Promote safety and participate in safety programs.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and leadership in lab management.
• Maintain lab areas and equipment and prepare technical reports.
• Interact with technicians and support cross-functional investigations.
• Analyze polymer structure/property relationships and assist in development projects.
