Pace Analytical Services is seeking a dedicated chemist/biochemist to oversee standard analysis and quality programs in our Matthews lab. You will review results, calibrate instruments, and ensure compliance with SOPs while guiding staff in policies and procedures.

The role emphasizes data interpretation, problem solving, and collaboration across teams to deliver accurate testing and timely outcomes for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biochemistry or a closely related field.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience accepted.
• Continued employment contingent on all required licenses and certificates.
• Familiarity with applicable chemistry/biochemistry laws, codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing using standard analytical instrumentation following SOPs.
• Review, analyze, interpret and document testing results.
• Oversee chemistry/biochemistry forms, documents and databases.
• Provide guidance on policies and practices to staff and management.
• Analyze data to identify trends and present findings to management.
• Calibrate equipment and maintain lab areas.
