Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in Lancaster, PA is seeking a full-time analytical chemist with cGMP experience to perform various tests using HPLC, Karl Fischer, UV and other methods, and to document work for GMP compliance. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in chemistry and at least two years of pharma experience.

Travel to client sites may be required; this role is not remote, with first shift hours 8am-4pm and commutable distance to Lancaster. Excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or related field.
  • 2 years of pharmaceutical experience in a cGMP environment.
  • HPLC and validation experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various analyses using chromatographic and wet chemistry methods.
  • Document work for GMP compliance.
  • Produce written reports (SOPs, client reports).
  • Develop and execute validation plans.
  • Train technical staff.
  • Travel to client sites for technical meetings may be required.
  • Troubleshoot method and instrumentation problems.
  • Carry out method transfers and feasibility studies.

Job Description

  • Perform various type of testing using chromatographic systems, Karl Fischer (Coulometric and Volumetric), UV/Spec, various wet chemistry analyses, HPLC, IC, IR, ICP, AA, TGP, DSC, PDA, auto-titrators, TLC, and dissolution apparatus

  • Execute specialized analyses and method transfer and feasibility testing

  • Document work as required for GMP compliance

  • Perform tests accurately

  • Troubleshoot method and instrumentation problems

  • Use office and instrumentation specific computer software

  • Produce written reports (e.g., SOP, OMC, client reports)

  • Develop and execute validation plans

  • Carry out method transfers and feasibility studies

  • Train technical staff

  • Some travel to client sites for technical meetings could be required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or other related degree concentration

  • 2 years of related pharmaceutical experience in a cGMP environment

  • HPLC and validation experience

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Working schedule will be Full-Time, First Shift, Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply. 25% travel may be required. This position is NOT remote.
