Job summary

Onyx Testing in Hagerstown, MD, is seeking an Laboratory/Analytical Chemist to join our state-of-the-art laboratory. The role requires working with cannabis products, following ISO/IEC 17025 standards, and maintaining precise records.

Eligible candidates should have lab experience and familiarity with GC/MS, HPLC, and ICP/MS or be willing to learn. The position offers a full-time schedule with benefits, a background check, and opportunities for advancement within a rapidly growing analytical

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Current or prior laboratory experience.
• Proficient with GC/MS, HPLC, ICP/MS, or ability to learn these instruments.
• Data analysis from analytical instruments.
• GC/MS method development experience a plus.
• Sample prep for GC-MS analysis.
• Experience with residual solvent analysis or microbial testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow Quality System documents (Quality Manual, SOPs, Methods).
• Maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and company standards.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations; keep a clean, safe lab.
• Keep neat, accurate daily records of work.
• Perform routine lab tasks: clean glassware, manage chemical inventory and supplies.
