Job summary

MI Cannalytics is seeking a Laboratory Chemist with GC-MS and/or ICP-MS expertise to support its cannabis testing laboratory in Warren, MI. This full-time role focuses on analytical testing, instrument performance, quality control, and data integrity in a highly regulated environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on instrumentation experience, strong analytical chemistry skills, and the ability to maintain accuracy under high-throughput conditions while adhering to GDP and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related natural science.
• 2+ years of full-time post-academic experience with GC-MS and/or ICP-MS.
• Strong analytical chemistry and data analysis skills.
• Experience with instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs and work in a regulated laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of cannabis and cannabis products using GC-MS and/or ICP-MS.
• Conduct sample preparation across multiple matrices, including reagent and standard preparation.
• Analyze and interpret data for residual solvents, heavy metals, and contaminants.
• Ensure compliance with PA regulations, ISO/IEC 17025 standards, and internal SOPs.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with GDP.
