Job summary

OMIC USA Inc. in Portland, Oregon seeks motivated Chemist 2s (Analytical Chemists) to join our Residue Chemistry Lab.

You will analyze samples by GC, LC, and MS-based techniques, help optimize extraction and analytical processes, and contribute to innovative methods aligned with our ISO17025 mission. Responsibilities include operating GC/LC systems, interpreting results with vendor software, and ensuring adherence to validated methods.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of GCMS, GCMSMS, LCMS, and/or LCMSMS instrumentation experience.
• 3+ years of analytical method development with MS/MS optimization.
• Experience with instrument software: MassHunter, OpenLAB CDS, SCIEX Analyst, MultiQuant.
• 3+ years in ISO17025 accredited lab environments.
• Proficient in QuEChERS extraction techniques and data analysis.
• Experience with pesticide/residual analysis in food matrices.
• Strong communication and documentation skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate GC/LC instrumentation with MS/MS detection for routine and non-routine samples.
• Evaluate results using vendor software; report QA/QC data.
• Perform analyses and interpret data; propose improvements to methods.
• Ensure methods follow registered and in-house validated procedures.
• Enter data into the LIMS and maintain standards and reference materials.
• Guide and assist Chemist 1; support data package reviews for ISO17025 compliance.
• Develop and update SOPs; participate in special analytical projects.
• Contribute to ongoing training and process optimization.
